Black Gesso 500ml

Mont Marte Black Gesso 500ml is a surface preparation medium for artists working with acrylics, oils and other painting techniques. Its black finish provides a dark starting surface that can be used to establish contrast and depth before adding colour.

Apply it to a suitable painting surface as part of the preparation process before beginning the main artwork. A black ground can also be useful when working with lighter colours, highlights and layered painting techniques where the underlying surface contributes to the overall appearance.

The 500ml size is suitable for regular studio use, larger artworks, repeated surface preparation and art projects where a dark ground is preferred.
